MAN issues recall

MAN Automotive Imports has issued a recall on TGL, TGM, TGA, TGS and TGX vehicles fitted with a Wabco Park Brake or Anti-Jack Knife Valve after a potential problem was identified with the braking system.

This recall applies to 343 vehicles manufactured between April 2009 and February 2011

The issue identified relates to the steel balls which are used to seal the processing bores of the valves. These steel balls may not be secured properly in the housing and could become loose, potentially causing the valves to bleed and activate the parking brake or the anti-jack knife brake.

Letters are being sent to owners of affected vehicles, however customers should contact their nearest MAN Dealer to have the valves inspected for production date and build status and corrected as required.
