Mack Trucks will introduce its new Mack MP10 Eu5 SCR 16 litre engine range in the Super-Liner and Titan models, in response to customer demand.
Offering up to 685hp, the Mack MP10 is the most powerful engine ever to be released by Mack Trucks
A higher capacity Mack mDRIVE 12 speed automated manual transmission will also be offered to coincide with the MP10 release. This will be standard with the 685hp rating. Mack said that this is the only transmission strong enough to handle the MP10’s 2300 lb-ft torque output.
These new engines will be available for order from 12 September 2011, with the first customer vehicles to be delivered by mid-2012.
