Mack Titan auction raises $100,000

Mack Trucks has raised $100,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland by auctioning the last remaining limited edition 50th Anniversary Southern Cross Titan at the Commercial Vehicles Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) President’s Charity Dinner.

Vice President Sales – Mack Trucks, Dean Bestwick, said Mack and its customers are proud to support a charity that provides vital assistance to people living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders throughout Queensland. “Cancer has touched the lives of many people within our organisation. It’s really important that we show our support to those who’ve been affected by the disease,” Bestwick said.

“Goldie” was released last year to celebrate the trucking giant’s 50th anniversary of production in Australia and is a one-of-a-kind 685 horsepower, gold painted prime mover, which represents the rugged Australian outback. The Mack was displayed on the forecourt of the Brisbane City Hall, which was the location for the dinner.
