Linfox’s dedicated Mining Services team has forged several partnerships that support customer mining operations in the state’s Bowen Basin.
It’s an immense region to cover taking in around 60,000m2 and incorporates seven Buma Mining sites, Coronado Global Resources’ Curragh mine in Blackwater and the Ensham Resources mine in Emerald.
Linfox’s operational commitments range from mine site construction, delivery and disassembly of large scale equipment and major project infrastructure, freight management of all sizes such as small vehicle parts, giant compressor modules or underground machinery.
“Mining logistics is a complex business, relied upon by an industry that is a substantial Australian economic contributor and local employer,” said President Resources and Industrial Linfox, Gary Pyne.
Maintaining a strong network in the Bowen Basin and Hunter Valley coalfields, and northwest Queensland hard rock markets, Linfox has a long history of trusted transport services to major mining customers across both surface and underground operations.
“The team seamlessly connects goods from OEMs, suppliers and vendors to their resources and industrial customers,” said Pyne.
Services include general and urgent freight, heavy haulage, turnkey logistics project services including longwall and shutdown logistics, site‑specific construction logistics, 24/7 emergency breakdown logistics and bulk commodity haulage.
Headquartered in Brisbane with national reach and capability, Linfox Mining Services is backed by an extensive national footprint and a skilled management team with more than 120 years of combined experience in mining and project logistics.
“We transport diverse freight often through remote terrain in ever-changing weather conditions, while ensuring drivers, fleet and customer products arrive safely and in accordance with our chain of responsibility obligations. We are especially known for seamless onboarding of new customer operations – a testament to our project, change management and communication expertise,” said Pyne.
Linfox’s network includes company owned terminals across regional Queensland and all mainland Australian states, with robust local PUD and cross-dock operations in Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay, Emerald, Townsville, Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
This national network complements Linfox’s extensive offsite receipting and intrastate services operating out of Hazelmere in Perth, which links major customers in the Pilbara and southwest WA.
