Lindsay Australia has officially opened its greatly expanded Perth depot.
Located in Hazelmere, the new site includes on-site refuelling, a truck wash, weighbridge and a 1,350 m² expansion zone.
Investments in the upgrades have expanded capacity and are considered critical for strengthening its safety profile and boosting network reliability.
Lindsay Australia also anticipates the new look depot will improve its overall operational efficiency across Western Australia.
“We are delighted with the new facility at Hazelmere,” said Lindsay Australia CEO Clay McDonald.
“The purpose-built site will enable us to provide enhanced service and solutions to our existing customers and support Western Australia’s growing freight needs.”
McDonald said the upgraded site would unlock the business’s ability to grow its rail and road network.
“I’d like to thank our WA staff for their hard work and dedication in successfully growing the business and our major customers, freight partners and the entire project team for joining us on-site to celebrate the opening of the new facility.”
The 35,000m² property increases in size from 10,000m² with the hardstand area enlarged to 20,000m² from 2,100m².
Other expansions include 420m² of office space, 3,000m² of chiller warehousing, 850m² storage for frozen goods and an increase to 12 docks from two.
