LHV status is made permanent in Holland

The Dutch government has decided to make the use of longer heavier vehicles at 25.25m and 60 tonnes permanently legal on the roads of the Netherlands.

During a trial period in recent years there has been extensive monitoring of the trial vehicles allowed on Dutch roads and a carbon reduction of 27% has been calculated.

There are currently over 500 such vehicles operating in the Netherlands and the government has decided to give operators more certainty about the future of these innovative trucks.
