Hire company Kennards Hire has continued its long-running relationship with Hino Australia by adding a number of Hino 500 Series FE 1426s with tilt trays fitted by Fleet Towing Equipment.
The new Hinos are mostly used in Kennards' rural branches for delivering oversize items such as excavation equipment that won't fit on the back of a trailer.
According to Hino, the 500 Series 1426s join a Hino fleet of over 500 vehicles that includes tippers, vans and tilt trays.
Kennards Hire Director of Procurement, Angus Kennard, said the 500 Series FE was chosen for its ability to carry large payloads.
“The FE 1426 allows us to carry seven tonnes on the back, and the trucks have good safety features for our drivers – they're reliable, easy to drive and comfortable,” Kennard said.
The 500 Series FE 1426 is powered by the 6.4-litre J07E-TN five-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which produces 191kW and 794Nm.
It also boasts ISRI air-suspended driver's seat, ABS brakes, SRS driver's airbag and ECE-R29 crash safety compliance.
