Fuel haulage specialist Kel Campbell has celebrated 40 years of business with a new Kenworth T610SAR.
The prime mover was unveiled as part of a brand new 23-metre B-double combination commissioned to mark the occasion.
It is carrying ethanol and a mix of dangerous goods.
Powered by a 550hp Cummins X15 paired with an Eaton automated manual UltraShift Plus transmission, the Kenworth T610SAR was purchased from Suttons Arncliffe.
The trailers were sourced from ATE distributor WBG Trailer Repairs in Prestons.
With a branding nod to its 1984 heritage, the commemorative tanker unit will be operating on-highway between fuel terminals and service stations along the east coast of New South Wales.
The 600-kilometre route is designated between Newcastle and Moruya where it has better road access being 23-metres long.
Founded by Kel and Colleen Campbell on 1 July, 1984 when the Balmain Tigers, North Sydney Bears, Illawarra Steelers and Western Suburbs Magpies were all still competing in the NSWRL Winfield Cup.
The business has been a proud Ampol distributor since inception.
“It’s a partnership that’s valued daily,” the company said in a statement.
“Through hard work, dedication, and a knack for adaptation they’ve grown the business to what it is today.”
Kel Campbell Pty Ltd is Campbell Petroleum Distributors, Kel Campbell Fuel Haulage, and Breeze Convenience.
Managing Director Tim, Kel, and Colleen Campbell extended their gratitude to everyone who have helped make the business the success it is today.
“A special thanks to our loyal customers who understand they’re dealing with locals that employ locals and delivering quality products,” the company said.
“Further thanks to our suppliers who keep us going no matter what our needs.”
Last year the Port Kembla-headquartered fuel haul transporter began bolstering its fleet with several new Mack Anthems.
