Iveco Trucks Australia will be one of over 600 exhibitors to attend the 2013 Asia Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) in Sydney.
The Italian brand will use the event to present a new range of off-road commercial vehicles, including a selection of off-road trucks custom-designed for the mining, oil and gas, construction, long-haul transport and forestry industries.
Arguably the strongest vehicle on the Iveco stand will be the Powerstar 7800 road train. The heavy-duty workhorse built in Dandenong, Victoria, can boast a 140-tonne Gross Combination Mass (GCM).
Iveco will also use the opportunity to introduce the Astra HD9 8×8 model to the Australian market. “The HD9 is strong and versatile, and combines many years of experience building highly specialised, heavy-duty vehicles with the latest requirements for operator safety and comfort,” the company said.
“With more than a century of experience in the design of vehicles custom-made for the harsh climate and road surface extremes of Australia, the company produces a range of light, medium and heavy duty trucks—and buses—perfectly suited to a range of local off-road operations.”
