ITTEC12 Outlook Conference program released

In the two days leading up to the International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show (ITTES) in Melbourne, the VTA, ARTSA, TIC and Global Trailer are running a two day Outlook Conference on heavy vehicles on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th March.

With sessions on the current and future markets in Europe, China, the US and Australia as well as OEM and component supplier sessions, it promises to deliver great value for participants.

“We wanted to look forward 5 years as well as have extensive panel sessions and dialogue,” said Dr Peter Hart, Chairman of ARTSA and the organising committee.  “We have a magnificent venue at Port Melbourne at Lifesaving Victoria.  Combined with the senior representatives from manufacturers as well as customers, we can expect some really informative exchanges,” he said.

The conference will review current production from around the world and forecast demand for both trucks and trailers.  “We have the leading regulators including the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, National Road Safety Council as well as the Chief Executive of VicRoads and the Federal Department of Infrastructure and Transport speaking,” said Dr Hart.

Technology reviews, case studies and a final panel with seven leading speakers finish the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

“Rarely do we get the chance to line up these speakers and to exchange views on the future of the heavy vehicle truck and trailer sector.  It is too good an opportunity to pass up”, Dr Hart said.
