Japanese truck maker, Isuzu, is joining together with Chinese truck maker Quingling to develop its next range of heavy-duty trucks. The two companies already work together to produce light and medium duty trucks for the Chinese market. The new heavy-duty trucks, evolved from the current Giga models, will go on sale in both Japan and China in 2015, according to a report in the Nikkei Business Daily.
In China the heavy truck market buys over 1 million trucks per year, whereas in Japan the market currently stands at around 30,000 per annum.
