Isuzu Australia has pledged to continue its support of Life Education Victoria, an organisation that equips children with important health information.
Initially founded in the inner suburbs of Sydney in 1979 by the Reverend Ted Noffs, the Life Education program has reached an estimated 7.5 million young Australians across the country in more than 4,000 unique school locations, with the assistance of trained educators.
The organisation’s programs tackle health and wellbeing issues such as drug and alcohol use, physical health, and sexual education.
Isuzu Australia and its 170 employees have been intertwined with Life Education Victoria for many years, according to Isuzu Australia Director and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Harbison.
“Isuzu Australia and our wider national network is composed of people that have not only benefited from Life Ed over the years, but who also have children receiving the benefits of this much-needed program,” said Harbison. “We’re delighted to once again partner with this outstanding organisation.”
Life Education Victoria CEO Samantha Nanni has welcomed the support of local businesses like Isuzu Australia.
“Life Ed Victoria can only do what it does with the support of organisations like Isuzu Australia,” said Nanni. “Isuzu’s active involvement ensures Life Ed Victoria continues to reach thousands of children each year.”
Life Education Victoria’s programs are regularly updated to address current health and wellbeing needs and issues, such as the lingering social effects of the COVID pandemic and a reported increase in youth vaping which poses a legitimate risk to the health of Victoria’s children.
“We need to give kids the smarts to deal with the hard stuff,” said Nanni. “With Healthy Harold front and centre, plus Isuzu’s support driving us along, Life Ed Victoria continues to reach every corner of the state.”
