Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has announced the winners of the 2025 edition of its annual Truck of the Year competition.

The awards celebrate the truck manufacturer’s customers and businesses who rely on their Isuzu trucks every day across Australia.

IAL Marketing and Advertising Manager, Sam Gangemi, said the competition was a way of recognising loyal operators who choose Isuzu as their trusted transport partner.

“It’s always fantastic to see the range of entries from businesses across Australia, and the ways that the owners and operators call out the role their trucks play in their daily operations,” said Gangemi.

“For over two decades, we’ve been honoured to support the trucking community by giving drivers and small operators a space to share their stories and pride in their Isuzu trucks.

“While we celebrate this year’s winners, we also extend our gratitude to every Australian truck driver who keeps our industries and communities connected.”

Judged by the experts

Each year, Isuzu’s expert judging panel comes together to review the monthly winners and deliberate on who progresses through to the final rounds.

“This year we saw a high number of entrants, with N Series as the model range most entered,” said Gangemi.

“Through the competition we get the privilege to see and share our customers’ unique truck applications and designs. This year we saw some inspiring ideas.

“Thank you to all who entered, and congratulations to our 2025 prize winners!”

Each Isuzu Trucks Series winner (N Series, F Series, FX/FY Series) receives a $1,500 prepaid Digital MasterCard.

The Grand Prize winner receives a $6,000 prepaid Digital MasterCard and the title of 2025 Truck of the Year.

2025 Overall Truck of the Year Winner / Grand Prize Winner

Isuzu Australia is proud to announce that The Glenapp Boys, entered by Rob Sibson, has been crowned the 2025 Truck of the Year Overall Winner.

Rob’s stunning NPR 65-190 Crew Cab impressed judges with its outstanding presentation, versatility, and the meaningful role it plays supporting volunteer work in the community.

Immaculately presented, the truck features a striking custom paint finish and a uniquely configured body, complete with extensive storage solutions that provide the comforts of a true home away from home.

The versatile tray setup is used to transport equipment such as a Toro zero-turn mower or bulk water tank, supporting the volunteer work Rob undertakes maintaining the historic Glenapp Railway Station.

In addition to winning the prize, The Glenapp Boys also receives accolades as the King of the N Series.

N Series Winner – The Glenapp Boys

Proud owner of the magnificent NPR 65-190 Crew Cab is Rob Sibson from the Gold Coast in Queensland, whose entry has also taken out the 2025 N Series Truck of the Year category.

Rob’s NPR has been carefully tailored from custom bodywork and paint through to powder-coated aluminium wheels, auxiliary fuel capacity and airbag suspension enhancements.

“The truck itself is standard, but I’ve added what I wanted. Ride comfort, pulling power, turning circle, it’s all there”, said Rob.

Despite its size, the NPR’s manoeuvrability continues to surprise him.

“It’s got a better turning circle than most vehicles,” he says.

“You can get it into places people don’t expect a truck to fit.”

The NPR is his daily driver and every Friday he loads supplies and heads out to Glenapp Railway Station, where he spends the weekend maintaining the historic site that he and his late brother, Dennis, began restoring years ago.

The NPR carries everything Rob needs: tools, fuel, maintenance equipment, and sometimes a place to rest.

“It’s a crew cab, so I sleep in the back of it sometimes,” he says. “I’ll sit here in the afternoon breeze, look out over the valley, and just take it all in.”

F Series Winner – Duniam Freight

The 2025 F Series Truck of the Year award has been claimed by Duniam Freight, with an Isuzu FVL 240-300 Freightpack operated by Lisa Smith from Kings Meadow in Tasmania.

Since receiving the truck in late 2023, Lisa has clocked nearly 200,000 kilometres across the state, with her personalised butterfly and flower decals making the truck instantly recognisable to customers.

“I am just under five feet tall, but the truck has been awesome with the seating position having right up on the wheel and no skinning my knees like my male colleagues. All round it is a win win for me.

FX/FY Series Winner – Bin Master Skips

The 2025 FX/FY Series Truck of the Year category has been awarded to Bin Master Skips, with their Isuzu FYJ 300-350 MWB entered by owner Jaydn Clarke from Albion Park in New South Wales.

Bin Master Skips is a family-owned and operated skip bin hire company servicing the Illawarra region down to Nowra in the Shoalhaven NSW.

They’ve recently purchased a brand new MY25 NQR to complement this FYJ which “really boosted our capability in the industry and was a huge step forward for a young business,” said Jaydn.

“It turns heads whenever it’s seen on the road, kids love it.”
