Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has announced a new range of merchandise designed to pay tribute to the iconic brand’s Japanese origins.
Made available exclusively to attendees of this year’s Brisbane Truck Show before rolling out to the Isuzu Trucks dealer network, the line of heritage merchandise includes a range of apparel, decals and key rings which depict traditional Isuzu designs that had previously been rarely-sighted in Australia.
Additional items in this merchandise range include garments and headgear, all reportedly designed to encapsulate the journey of Isuzu’s brand imagery — from its first geometric logo in 1949 to today.
IAL National Parts Sales Manager, Joel Gledhill, who was a driving force behind the merchandise’s line-up, felt this year’s Brisbane Truck Show to be the perfect environment to launch the items.
“For sure the trucks were the star attraction of the launch, but so many people took away a piece of Isuzu history via this new merchandise range, which was fantastic to see,” he said.
“We always wanted to have a bold new merch look that complemented our product well and we wanted to ensure Isuzu’s unique heritage was represented appropriately and in a culturally safe way.”
Gledhill said the merchandise embraced the storied history of the brand, while giving a nod to Japanese culture and fashion.
“Based on the feedback we’ve received, I think the result has really blown many people away,” he said.
“The great thing about this heritage look is that it simply looks ‘cool.’ Whether you’re an Isuzu owner, a heavy vehicle enthusiast or just someone who likes fashion with meaning, you will want to get your hands on these items.”
