Industry leader endorses ATA Technical and Maintenance Conference

The upcoming Australian Trucking Association Technical and Maintenance Conference on 15-17 October in Melbourne, received a glowing endorsement from 2009 Craig Roseneder Award winner and Fleet Engineering Manager for Boral Transport, Merv Rowlands.

“We’re all in the business of life cycle management of our equipment. The Technical and Maintenance Conference’s clear conference streams educate people in all aspects of the life cycle of their equipment, from the initial purchase to maintaining the vehicle throughout its lifespan,” Rowlands said.

“Both the vehicles and regulations are getting more complex every year, and it’s tough to keep on top of it all. So more than ever, you really need people in your business that really know what they’re doing.

“If you fail to maintain your fleet to the highest standards, you’ll find you are off the road and out of pocket. If attending the Technical and maintenance Conference allows you to avoid even one costly mistake, I would say it is already great value.”

The venue for this year’s conference will be the Automotive Centre for Excellence at the Kangan Institute located in Melbourne’s Docklands.

The event will commence on the Monday evening with the Castrol Awards Dinner hosted by media identity Andrew Daddo. The highlight of evening will be the national trucking industry Awards for Excellence in the Workshop, culminating in the presentation of the prestigious 2012 Craig Roseneder Award.
