The Queensland Trucking Association is continuing its tradition of celebrating the achievements of ‘Women in Road Transport’ with its third International Women’s Day Industry Breakfast.
The event has grown in popularity over the years and acts as a powerful educational and networking opportunity for women in all parts of the transport industry to come together.
However, it’s not just for women and the breakfast is open to all genders in the Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain Industry for both QTA members and non-members.
Every year, the QTA has been able to get top quality speakers from the industry to talk about the positive programs in place to encourage gender diversity.
Guest Speakers in 2014 include QTA’s 2013 Young Achiever Award Winner, Tegan McFarlane, (HR Administrator – Followmont Transport), Michelle Bowden (National Transport Manager, Supply Chain – Kmart) and Jane Anderson, one of Australia’s leading Personal Brand and Career Coaches.
“This exciting event is an opportunity for women in our industry to network with their peers, to learn from the experience of others and to participate in discussion not just on the existing importance of women to the functioning of the freight task but to consider opportunities onward and upward in our ever changing industry,” said the QTA.
This year’s ‘Women in Road Transport’ International Women’s Day Breakfast, themed ‘Inspiring Change’ will be held on Wednesday 5th March 2014 at 7am (for 7:15am start) to conclude by 9:30am.
The venue this year is at the Easts Leagues Club, Coorparoo. Tickets are limited to 200. Registrations close Wednesday 26th February 2014.
