The companies accredited by Transport Certification Australia as service providers for the Intelligent Access Program (IAP) have come together as a forum to provide a collective voice when dealing with governments, the transport industry and the TCA. The four members, Transtech Driven, Minorplanet, OmniStar and Transport Compliance Services have elected Shaun Owen as their inaugural chairperson.
“We expect this program to grow strongly in coming years,” said Mr Owen. “Looking forward, the IAP will allow local councils to approve the late-night deliveries by new generation low noise trucks. It will allow more efficient, better management and use of crowded city roads. And it will make it possible for government to confidently and accurately target road investment to upgrade key freight routes, whether they be national, state or local council roads.”
