HVTT13 with strong Australian support

The 13th International Symposium on Heavy Vehicle Transport Technology (HVTT13) will be held in San Luis, Argentina, between 27-30 October 2014 – and Australian Bob Pearson, father of the B-double, will be playing a big role in it.

Last year, Pearson was elected Chairman of the Scientific Committee for the International Forum for Road Transport Technology (IFRTT), with responsibility for the technical content of the event.

HVTT13 provides a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas between legislators, road administrators, academics, consultant, vehicle manufacturers and suppliers, industry associations and transport operators in what is a truly global gathering of industry experts.

Delegates are expected from all regions – including Asia, Africa, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Oceania – to take part in a range of sessions designed to deliver better targeted road transport outcomes.

HVTT13 particularly addresses the needs of the ever-growing freight task across the world and the resulting challenges in terms of safety, congestion, productivity, community expectations and the environment.

According to Bob Pearson, this important event offers information and discussion on a number of subjects vital to the on-going development of road transport.
