Hino to pay tribute to VIC fire fighters at Brisbane Truck Show

Hino will pay tribute to the volunteer fire fighters from Victoria’s Country Fire Authority (CFA) by presenting its 1000th 4WD 500 Series GT truck to enter service at the Brisbane Truck Show.

“The CFA and its 60,000 volunteers protect more than 3.3 million Victorians from the effects of Australia's natural disasters – not just bushfires,” said Steve Lotter, Hino Australia President and Chief Operating Officer. “It's an honour for us to feature the milestone of the CFA's 1000th Hino vehicle at the Brisbane Truck Show.”

According to Hino, the truck manufacturer wanted to use the occasion as an opportunity to pay tribute to the CFA's efforts to protect rural communities in Victoria.

“The CFA and its 60,000 volunteers protect more than 3.3 million Victorians from the effects of Australia's natural disasters – not just bushfires,” Lotter said.

In addition to the CFA truck, the Hino stand at the Brisbane Truck Show will display its latest diesel/electric Hybrid technologies.
