Hino Australia launches new telematics system

Hino Australia’s new Hino Traq telematics system allows fleet owners to monitor their trucks in real time, 24/7.

Data available to view on the system’s online portal will help owners monitor progress and efficiency, providing real-time location and operational information on vehicles, driver and vehicle performance updates along with fuel usage data, driver safety reports and whole-of-fleet performance updates. In addition, a driver alert button assist feature will allow drivers to immediately inform fleet owners that they are in need of urgent assistance.

Hino Australia Product Strategy Manager Daniel Petrovski believes the Hino Traq system will prove to be valuable for modern businesses.

“It is crucial to provide support for businesses in the future,” Petrovski commented. “Our aim is to provide our customers with range of business-building benefits that will save them money and worry.

“Partnering with businesses to translate this valuable information into real-world analytics will assist in finding efficiencies within their operations.”

Designed for Hino trucks and buses as an OEM accessory, the unit has been locally developed over two years specifically for the Australian market and is now available. It can be fitted to new Hino trucks and retrofitted to existing trucks.
