Hawk Logistics has acquired Newcastle-based family business Farragher Logistics.
The strategic acquisition of the 91-year-old company is intended to expand Hawk’s service capabilities and strengthens its operational reach across the country.
“As part of the transition, Farragher’s experienced team of drivers and assets will join Hawk Logistics, bringing valuable expertise that will strengthen the quality of service we provide to our current and new customers,” Hawk Logistics announced in an online statement.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering reliable and efficient transport solutions nationwide.”
Farragher commenced operations in 1933 and over the decades became well known as a leading removals and storage provider.
The generational family business offers services that encompass warehousing, transport and third party logistics.
It has depots located in Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
“By integrating a business with nearly a century of experience, we honour Farragher Logistics’ legacy while continuing to innovate and set new standards of excellence,” Hawk Logistics said.
“Today’s milestone stays true to our mission of challenging the logistics industry by providing innovative solutions and delivering customer excellence.”
