Handover of written-off heavy vehicle to SkillsTech

The TAFE institute in trade and technician training, SkillsTech, has received a long-term loan of a written-off heavy vehicle allocated by National Transport Insurance (NTI). The vehicle will to be used for training purposes at the new $13 million heavy auto facilities at the Acacia Ridge Training Centre.

The handover has reinforced the commencement of an ongoing relationship between SkillsTech Australia and National Transport Insurance (NTI) whereby vehicles will be supplied, replaced and returned on a regular basis.

SkillsTech Australia Automotive Business Manager Chris Kroehn said the initiative from a national transport insurance company is generous and will significantly benefit trainees and apprentices at all levels of their training.

SkillsTech Australia is a fully accredited Queensland Government vocational education and training institute with more than 11,000 students; providing training in automotive, building and construction, manufacturing and engineering and electrical/electronic studies.
