A partnership with risk- measured insurance solutions provider DKG Group has been announced today by Geotab.
As part of the partnership, DKG will launch Fuse Fleet for Geotab customers, a behaviour-based insurance offering that rewards safe driving and enables accurate pricing of premiums.
With its expertise in insurance underwriting for fleet operators, DKG Group will look to leverage Geotab’s advanced telematics data and technology.
Offering Australian businesses new insights to support safety goals as well as fairer insurance premiums for lower risk fleets is one byproduct the partnership aims to achieve.
“We are excited to join forces with Fuse Fleet and DKG Group to empower Australian businesses with the tools they need to enhance their fleet operations,” said David Brown, APAC Associate Vice President Sales at Geotab.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology and unmatched support to our local customers, who are seeking data-driven insurance offerings that leverage their strong safety performance and offer a better accident management experience.”
Geotab, DKG Group and Fuse Fleet will be working together to empower insurers with better data, enabling them to make informed decisions, process claims faster and reward safe drivers with fairer premiums.
The partnership will also enable fleets to improve safety using big data, AI and machine learning to predict and prevent crashes.
“Combining Geotab’s expertise in telematics and knowledge in fleet insurance with Fuse Fleet and DKG Group’s experience will allow us to positively change the insurance of motor fleets in Australia,” added Brown.
By collaborating with Geotab’s insurance team, Fuse Fleet’s underwriters will be empowered to price and segment risk more effectively using Geotab’s intelligent benchmarking tools.
The use of advanced technology to predict and prevent accidents on Fuse Fleet will provide fleets with an opportunity to effectively lower their Total Cost of Risk.
Clients with strong safety records, according to Geotab, may benefit from potential premium savings to their insurance program.
“Our mission is to transform the way fleet operators manage risk by rewarding safe driving with our digital insurance incentives for safer fleets and fairer premiums,” said Luke Kelly, Managing Director of DKG.
“Fuse Fleet will use the intelligence to provide fleets with insights about driving habits and recommendations to improve safety. To cement the customer offering, Fuse Fleet will deliver fully digitally enabled claims management solutions designed to maximise performance, minimise downtime and ultimately reduce the claims lifecycle.”
With 485,000 businesses operating close to 4 million vehicles in the fleet market, this partnership is set to redefine the country’s insurance market for fleet operators according to the joint statement.
