The Australian new truck market (excluding vans) regressed by 2.9 per cent or 790 units in 2013, but one of the manufacturers that went against the trend was Fuso, with an increase in sales across all market segments.
Fuso increased its overall truck volume by 385 units or 13.3 per cent over the company’s 2012 result.
Fuso’s sales in the light-duty category were up 167 units on a market that fell by 5.4 per cent, medium- duty was up 174 units on a market that was down by 0.9 per cent and heavy-duty figures were up 44 units on a market that shrank by 2.3 per cent.
Fuso attributes this growth to the dedication and support of its national dealer network and the way they service their customers.
“With a portfolio of vehicles that cover most applications and is value for money, Fuso is a very attractive proposition when it comes to a commercial decision,” said to Dean Montalti, Senior Manager Sales, Mitsubishi Fuso.
“With features such as 30,000 kilometre service intervals on Canter & Fighter, class leading tare weights on the light duty Canter range, multi-media units across the whole range with three years mapping included, as well as a Fuso roadside assist hotline, Fuso is the brand worth considering the next time you’re in the market for a reliable well respected truck.”
