The Fuso Fighter medium-duty truck range scored a number of improvements in 2011 that will are likely to be appreciated by both drivers and business owners.
For starters, the Fighter has a more refined and aggressive look, which is largely due to the relocation of the headlines to the bumper bar and a revision to the shape and pattern of the front grill. The width of the new FM / FN model cab has been increased by 200mm which further adds to the visual presence and spaciousness of the cab.
Inside, the seat trim is a dark charcoal-grey colour that is both pleasing to the eye and easier to keep clean. Drivers may also appreciate the ISRI suspension seat, which is standard for the driver across the entire Fighter range.
A driver’s airbag is standard on all models and all models have ABS brakes and most also have ASR for improved safety. An Alison six speed automatic transmission is available on some key FM and FN models and the range still retains its proven six or nine speed manual transmission, according to Fuso.
To meet Euro 5 emission levels, an SCR system “BLUETEC” was utilised. Fuso believe the SCR system fitted in this size truck is the best solution for vocational and distribution applications.
Last but not least, service intervals were expanded to a class leading 30,000kms.
