Tasmanian automotive professional Edward Jones is the new owner of FRM Hino.
FRM Hino already has a strong footprint, boasting dealerships in Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.
Jones is the former Chief Operating Officer and a director of Local Motor Group, which is owned by the Tony White Group.
In a statement released by Hino Australia Jones said he is looking forward to returning to his roots in the showroom.
“After an 18 year career in passenger cars including as a former Toyota Dealer Principal, I’m excited to join and lead the FRM team and join the Hino brand,” he said.
“The future is really exciting for FRM Hino – we have an excellent team in place that will continue to deliver exceptional levels of service to our customers.”
As a born and bred Tasmanian, Jones said it represented a chance to be a part of a culture and team that is committed to its local community.
“Over the last seven years, the former owners of FRM Hino relocated all three FRM branches in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport to new and improved premises, and we still have exciting opportunities ahead,” he said.
“We are currently in the planning phase for a workshop extension in Launceston to increase the service bay capacity,” said Jones.
Richard Emery, Vice President of Brand and Franchise Development for Hino Australia, welcomed Jones to the Hino team.

Hino Australia has over 65 dealerships and services centres nationwide.
