The CMV Group has announced a strategic realignment for its Sustainable Vehicle Solutions (SVS) operations.
Foton Mobility Distribution (FMD) is preparing to assume direct responsibility for the Victorian and South Australian markets.
SVS will conclude its distribution arrangement with FMD effective 1 September 2025.
From this date, FMD will take full control of sales and aftersales support for the Foton electric truck range across both states.
Since 2023, SVS has played a pivotal role in offering customers a light duty electric truck solution in southeastern Australia. Through its support of early adopters and commitment to zero emission commercial vehicles, SVS has contributed meaningfully to the growth of sustainable transport solutions in Australia.
“We recognise the role SVS has played in introducing light duty electric trucks to the market and supporting customers in the transition to EV transport solutions across Victoria and South Australia,” said CMV Group Joint Managing Director Miles Crawford.
“CMV Group remains committed to delivering world class transport solutions, including electric vehicles, and will now refocus its efforts on our longterm brands.
“There is a clear and growing demand for zero emission commercial vehicles in Australia, and we are firmly focused on supporting our customers with this transition by offering medium and heavy-duty electric trucks backed by exceptional aftersales service and support.”
