As Queenslanders come to grips with the effects of one of the state’s worst ever natural disasters, many transport companies are tallying up their losses.
NTI has revealed that 90 of the businesses it insures have been affected. Over the past week alone, the insurance company has been notified of 99 cases, involving 155 items, to a value in excess of $6.7m.
Already, NTI has been able to settle more than a third of these claims, with hopes that more than 75 percent of these claims will be settled by next week.
Placing extra assessing staff in the field and paying on-the-spot electronic fund transfer settlements are some of the initiatives NTI has put into place to help get its customers back on track as quickly as possible.
