Farmcraft add six Isuzus to fleet

Agricultural equipment and supplier Farmcraft, has taken advantage of a fleet of Isuzu trucks, consisting of two NPR 200s, three FTR 900s and one FVZ 1400.

Farmcraft uses the Isuzu’s on a daily basis covering ground from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, and Moreton Bay to the Southern Darling Downs.

“Our most recent addition to the fleet was the Isuzu FTR 900 Long,” Farmcraft Managing Director, Alistair Ross said. “We purchased this truck in December and installed a curtain-sider body to assist with general freight and customer deliveries.”

With a nine tonne payload, the Isuzu FTR 900 can cart large loads of gardening products, seed, agricultural chemicals and spray equipment.

“The FTR 900 handles all conditions exceptionally, whether it’s travelling on dirt roads, highways or into residential areas,” Mr Ross said. “We currently employ almost 40 staff and several of our staff members drive our trucks. They all love the Isuzus because they’re easy to operate and can be driven by almost anyone.”

The FTR 900 features an Isri 6860 air suspension driver’s seat and an Anti-lock Braking System, Hill Start Aid and driver’s airbag.

Since it began operation in 1990 as a hardware business, Farmcraft has expanded not only in product offering but also in location. Originally operating from one site in Kalbar, Farmcraft now runs four sites across the state.
