QR National operates the largest coal haulage business in Australia with around 200 million tonnes and revenue in excess of $1.5 billion per annum. The company has announced that ex-CFO of Virgin Blue, Keith Neate, will take the position of QR National Coal CFO, effective from August.
In his new position, Mr Neate will report to Executive Vice President and CEO Coal Operations, QR National Coal, Marcus McAuliffe.
The company’s manager and CEO, Lance Hockridge, said, “We are pleased to have attracted such a well-credentialed executive with global experience to assist with the ongoing reform of this growing business.
“Keith joins at an extraordinarily important time for QR National Coal, when we’re seeing unprecedented growth in the coal industry and an increasingly competitive market in coal haulage.”
In addition to Mr Neate’s appointment, QR National also announced that Credit Suisse executive, Prue Mackenzie would join the company’s leadership team in the role of General Manager Commercial.
“Prue will play an important role at QR National by helping identify strategic, commercial projects to aid our future growth and development,” said Mr Hockridge. She will commence her new position on 16 May.
