The Newcastle dealership for the Daimler brands (Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses, Freightliner, Fuso and Mercedes-Benz vans) has relocated from its previous site at Thornton to modern and more spacious premises fronting John Renshaw Drive at Beresfield in the lower Hunter Valley.
The Iveco dealership which was once operated by RH Taylor from the site has been relocated next door to share premises with Newcastle Hino.
ll three dealerships are now owned and operated by the Automotive Holdings Group under the umbrella to be known as Newcastle Commercial Vehicles, with plans to establish a state of the art truck hub on the site to service the Hunter Valley region.
A centralised parts department is currently being established, offering a one stop shop for genuine parts and accessories for all of the brands handled by the group of dealerships .
The Daimler service department features a driver’s lounge where truck drivers can relax while their vehicles are being attended to by the Daimler technicians. Service staff includes an in-house auto electrician as well as those trained for Cummins and Detroit Diesel engines.
A separate dedicated service bay for dangerous goods vehicles compliments the five regular drive through service bays.
