DAF LF Hybrid set for production

Production of the new DAF LF Hybrid will begin at Leyland Trucks in Great Britain at the end of 2010 after a comprehensive field test. This will make DAF one of the first European truck manufacturers to put a hybrid truck into production.

This field test involved vehicles being tested for two years in the most diverse practical applications in daily use with customers in Great Britain and throughout Europe.

The DAF LF Hybrid is a 12 tonne distribution truck with a parallel hybrid system, offering reductions in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of between 10 and 20 percent, dependant on the application.
