The first Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell Truck in Australia is joining the Coregas fleet.
Coregas is expected to use the XCIENT to transport industrial, medical and other specialty cylinders.

“We are proud to bring the world’s first fuel cell heavy-duty truck to Australian roads and to demonstrate how it can deliver both sustainability and performance for local fleets.”
The XCIENT will represent an opportunity to minimise greenhouse gas emissions and allow fleets to transition to eco-friendly transport.
Designed to deliver performance equal to diesel and produce zero tailpipe emissions, the XCIENT aims to decarbonise heavy transport without reducing efficiency and uptime.

“This partnership brings together two organisations committed to accelerating the clean energy transition and showing industry how hydrogen can play a vital role in decarbonising heavy transport.”
Coregas has helped pushed for innovation in hydrogen mobility before, after launching Australia’s first hydrogen refuelling station for heavy transport in 2023, the Coregas H2 Station.
While after debuting in 2025 at the Brisbane Road Show, the XCIENT truck clocked 10 million kilometres in real-world operations across Europe and Asia.
The Fuel Cell Truck is equipped with a second-generation 190kW hydrogen system and offers a range of 700 kilometres per hydrogen fill.
Data gained from the partnership will help inform fleet investment decisions and build confidence in hydrogen across the Australia’s transport and logistics sector.
