Contractor purchases Isuzus for instant reliability

Isuzu has teamed up with Complete Builders and Contractors through the purchase of two NPR 45-155 Tradepack trucks.

Both trucks are fitted with Isuzu’s two-pedal, six-speed fully automated manual transmission (AMT) and are powered by Isuzu’s four cylinder, 16-valve 4HK1-TCN engine outputting 114 kW at 2,600 rpm and 419 Nm between 1,600 and 2,600 rpm.

The Tradepack duo features a standard GVM rating of 4,500 kg and a GCM of 9,000 kg, which carry tools, generators, compressors, materials and site waste.

Complete Builders and Contractors Managing Director, Tim Johns, said the vehicles are more than well-equipped to handle the task at hand.

“The generators supply power to the tools and equipment we use on site, whether it be charging up equipment, power tools, or spotlights,” he said.

“I’ve also had toolboxes mounted on the back and there’s still plenty of room to carry planks, ladders and timber packs.”

Having upgraded the transport fleet recently, Johns said the N Series cabins are perfect for his needs – with a key feature being additional occupant and storage space.

“These models can be driven on a standard car licence, which is great for the whole team, especially our apprentices when they are behind the wheel,” he said.

“The larger the load, the better they seem to go – it’s a powerful little truck.”

Prior to purchasing the Isuzu trucks, Johns had a ute and a trailer which were proving an inconvenience and prompted the upgrade.
