Cleanaway to use state-of-the-art trucks in The Hills Shire

To mark the beginning of a new 10-year contract with The Hills Shire Council, Recycling and waste management company, Cleanaway, recently unveiled its new state-of-the-art fleet of trucks on 26 September at Bella Vista Farm.

Cleanaview connected technology on the Cleanaway vehicles will provide customers with more meaningful information to reportedly help better manage the waste collected in weekly kerbside pickups. Outfitted with the latest technology and mechanical advancements, the trucks are expected to release fewer emissions into the environment and are marginally quieter as they navigate the Hills Shire network. These heavy vehicles are also fitted with automatic reverse smart sensor brakes and up to seven cameras, with a bird’s eye camera for enhanced safety.

General Manager of the Hills Shire Council, Michael Edgar, has said the new fleet was part of Cleanaway’s renewed 10-year contract with the Hills Shire.

“The Council would like to thank Cleanaway for the valued service they have provided to residents over the last 10 years and for the future of the renewed contract,” said Edgar. “[Cleanaway] are a waste service that can adapt to changes in industry standards and meet the needs of our growing community.”

The new waste contract will commence 1 October.
