Sean Nun-Thawng, Service Delivery Manager at Centurion, was humbled when he was awarded Centurion of the Year.
He was nominated from a pool of more than 2,000 employees.
“It shows that I’m on the right track where I want to be professionally and also personally,” he said.
“My initial reaction when I won the Centurion of the Year was shock as there were definitely contenders that were worthy of that recognition.
“It was humbling to see my hard work had paid off during that year.”
Recognition is an important part of the business according to Centurion CEO, Justin Cardaci.
“This business is built on people and People go above and beyond,” he said. “That needs to be recognised.
The Marc Cardaci Award, according to Centurion, is presented annually to an individual who demonstrates exceptional performance, leadership and a consistent commitment to the company’s values: Respect, Integrity, Persistence, Passion and Accountability (RIPPA).
Centurion acknowledges the outstanding efforts of its drivers through two awards.
Driver of the Year recognises an exceptional driver annually, while Driver of the Quarter, introduced in late 2024, celebrates drivers who consistently uphold a safety-first approach and represent Centurion with professionalism on the road.
“I think we see great examples of our values set on a daily basis from people in all areas of this business,” said Cardaci.
“What we don’t do on a regular basis is nominate people when we see these values on display.
“We’ve seen lots of winners develop through the business and go on and continue – it’s really positive.”
Centurion has more than 2,600 employees.
Last month, Centurion launched 20 battery-electric trucks.
