Bridgestone opens new Service Centre

Tyre specialist, Bridgestone Australia, has opened a new Bridgestone Service Centre Barossa on the Old Sturt Highway in Nuriootpa.

According to Bridgestone, the Centre is one of the few outlets in the greater Barossa region to boast full B-double drive through bays.

The Bridgestone Service Centre Barossa was reportedly developed with a focus on environmentally friendly features such as a solar panel array, energy efficient lighting, recycled rubber flooring made from old tyres.

“Bridgestone is committed to minimising its footprint on the environment while also ensuring our customers receive the best service and products. Our new Service Centre in the Barossa highlights the efforts we go to in achieving this,” said Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Andrew Moffatt.

“We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure our new commercial stores uphold our pledge to reduce waste and operate as efficiently as possible.”

The Barossa store is the second commercial outlet Bridgestone has launched under its new ‘green-truck’ focus after the opening of Bridgestone Service Centre Hume in the ACT last year, with a store in Western Australia also due to be finished this year.

“More than 12 months of planning has gone into our new facilities to make sure they send a clear message about Bridgestone’s focus on sustainability,” Moffatt added.

“We have made a significant investment into our green-truck sites, but through our efforts to reduce long-term operational costs, we expect to see a return within five years. It’s another clear demonstration that giving back to society makes perfect business sense.”
