George Roberts, General Manager for Logistics and Depot Operations at BP Australia, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the upcoming Global Truck & Trailer Leaders Summit in Melbourne.
Representing BP as the Summit's Foundation Sponsor, George Roberts is responsible for the safe and efficient management and running of BP’s company owned and company operated fleet of fuel trucks, all third party logistics relationships as well as fuel depots operations across Australia. He also ensures the Logistics and Depot business is safely and efficiently integrated into BP.
Mr Roberts holds a degree in Operations Management from the Herriot Watt University in Scotland and a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from Cranfield University in England. Since 2004, he has been working in various roles for BP in the Netherlands, France, South Africa and Australia.
In July 2012, Roberts stepped into the role of National Operations Manager for the Regional Australian business. In January 2014, George was appointed as General Manager for Logistics and Depot Operations in Australia.
BP's logistics expert will speak on Day Two of the Summit as part of the much anticipated Transport Market Forum, alongside a range of key decision makers representing Australia's diverse commercial road transport industry.
