Bendix extends brake fluid range

Braking specialist Bendix has extended its brake fluid range, now offering DOT3 and DOT4 in 500mL, 4 litre and now 20 litre packs. According to Bendix, the move was a “natural extension” to service its clientele in Australia.

“The Bendix DOT3 and DOT4 Brake Fluids are high performing Polyglycol type fluids to optimise braking performance for specific applications. Both are suitable for hydraulic and conventional braking systems in automotive vehicles, minimising corrosion of tinned iron, steel, aluminium, cast iron, brass and copper components while being inert to both natural and synthetic rubber used in brake hoses, cups and seals.”

The company also recommended checking the brake fluid in commercial vehicles on a regular basis. “OEMs and maintenance experts recommend that brake fluid should be replaced at least every two years and that seems sound advice for the garage trade to remind their customers of this.”
