ATA seeks new National Manager for Policy

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) is looking for a new National Manager, Policy, following the early retirement of David Coonan (pictured) in May.

“David gave the ATA eight years of exceptional service as a passionate advocate on behalf of trucking operators across Australia,” said Stuart St Clair, Chief Executive Officer of the ATA.

“I appointed David to his role in 2006, after knowing him for many years when he was a public servant working in heavy vehicle regulation.”

The role requires an individual with a clear understanding of road freight industry policy to represent the ATA, which is based in the Minter Ellison Building, Canberra.

The ATA is seeking applicants with practical knowledge of the mechanics of trucks and trailers as well as understanding of the legislation regulating the industry.
