The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) recognised key industry personnel at the 2025 Castrol Awards Dinner last night.
This dinner, the concluding event of this year’s Technology and Maintenance Conference (TMC25) at the San Remo Ballroom in Melbourne, hosted the National Training Excellence Award along with two technical awards — the Craig Roseneder Award for Technical Maintenance Excellence, and the Castrol Industry Achievement Award.
National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Central Region Director, Brett Patterson, presented the National Training Excellence Award to New South Wales-based outfit, Divall’s Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage.
As part of this honour, Divall’s will receive a $7,000 prize package to be used towards staff training initiatives or a business services package with a training consultancy.
Scott Gardiner of Australia Post received this year’s Craig Roseneder Award, being recognised for his technical and maintenance excellence in the trucking industry’s workshops.
In addition to the award, Scott will receive a trip to attend the 2026 US Technology and Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee. The prize includes full conference registration, return airfares, accommodation and spending money.
The prize also includes complimentary registration to ATA’s 2026 Australian Trucking Association TMC event.
Heavy vehicle engineer and industry advocate, Chris Loose, won the Castrol Industry Achievement Award, being recognised for his technical innovation and accomplishments in the Australian trucking sector.
Loose has previously held senior roles at Mercedes-Benz and Freightlinger, before working for the ATA and the Truck Industry Council.
