ATA announces Trucking Australia 2018 Program

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) said it is excited to announce the Trucking Australia 2018 program, with the event being held at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, 18-20 April.

“Trucking Australia 2018 will drive the industry’s future with a number of key initiatives,” said ATA CEO, Ben Maguire.

The ATA has welcomed His Excellency General the Honourable, Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia to open the Trucking Australia 2018 Welcome Breakfast, and Deputy Prime Minister, Michael McCormack, as a keynote speaker.

“We are thrilled to host both His Excellency Sir Peter Cosgrove and the Deputy Prime Minister, as well as industry experts who will be delivering all-important workshops throughout the course of the conference, focusing on the new master safety code, mental health and safety communications,” said Maguire.

“We’ve partnered with Teletrac Navman, Seeing Machines and Canberra Innovation Network to deliver a fatigue hackathon, Swinburne University students will deliver presentations on how our Volvo ATA Safety Truck can better target young drivers, and we will hear how our Daimler Future Leaders plan to address key industry issues,” he said.
