The Australian Trucking Association has announced the Workshop schedule ahead of the Technical Maintenance Conference (TMC) in Melbourne from 27 – 29 October.
Held throughout the duration of TMC, the Workshop sessions will include skill sharing and education from suppliers such as SAF-Holland, Mitsubishi Electric and Knorr-Bremse.
SAF-Holland will introduce a greaseless kingpin and fifth wheel, describing how it works and the benefits it can bring to a fleet and workshop.
Mitsubishi Electric’s Technical Support Manager will explain how to correctly diagnose problems with starting/charging components, including how this can help reduce repair costs, breakdowns and truck down time.
Knorr-Bremse will provide insight into fitting, servicing and maintaining variable proportioning brake systems onto trailers and the legal responsibilities when upgrading.
The ATA will also host a Suppliers Marketplace across the duration of TMC, which will include products and stalls from Paccar, Cummins and Bridgestone to name a few.
TMC will be held at the Automotive Centre of Excellence in Melbourne.
