All go for Grafton Truck Show

The 35th annual Grafton Truck Show is expected to be the largest in the event’s history, with companies and operators from wide and far expected to participate on the Saturday of the Queen’s birthday long weekend, June 8.

The street parade commences at 10am and will see up to 250 trucks wend their way through the city centre to the Showgrounds where a huge afternoon is planned.

An extensive trade display, musical entertainment, tarp rolling competition, food stalls. Children’s rides and billycart races will provide entertainment for all ages. The event is also well supported by Grafton residents who come out in their thousands to watch the truck parade and continue to enjoy attractions on offer.

Entry to the Showgrounds is by gold coin donation and all proceeds from the event, which is one of the largest on the trucking calendar and keenly anticipated by industry people, goes to local charities.

The evening sees a dinner-dance at the South Grafton Ex Servicemens Club in Wharf Street, South Grafton. Trophies are presented for the best presented trucks in a number of categories and is attended by many representatives from the road transport industry.

The Grafton Truck Drivers Social Club is extremely active in the local community and does much to promote the professionalism and importance of the industry.
