At the recent international specialist trade fair, Trailer 2011, in Kortrijk, Belgium, the new Mercedes-Benz Actros was named ‘Truck of the Year’ for the fourth time.
The international expert jury, made up of industry journalists from 24 European countries, voted the flagship from Mercedes-Benz the best truck of the year. The award is presented to the truck that has made the greatest contribution towards innovations for road transportation in the fields of economy, emissions, safety, driveability and comfort.
The Actros has won a total of eight titles, making Mercedes-Benz the most successful brand in the competition.
“With their new flagship, Mercedes-Benz have combined evolutionary elements with revolutionary new developments that raise the bar for efficiency, safety and comfort in a heavy-duty vehicle,” said president of the international jury, Gianenrico Griffini.
