ACFS Port Logistics has expanded its high productivity vehicle fleet.
The Super B-triple introduced today measures 42 metres in length and has the ability to transport up to 6 TEUs per trip — equivalent to six by 20ft containers or three by 40ft containers
“This investment is a testament to our dedication to smarter, more efficient processes that reduce carbon emissions, enhance productivity, and prioritise driver safety,” the company said in an online statement.
“Through our ABC Green Program, we are revolutionising traditional practices to create greater efficiencies while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability.”
It marks an expansion of the company’s B-triple truck fleet at the Port of Brisbane where the new unit is anticipated to further enhance operational capacity and service efficiency.
ACFS expects its high productivity fleet will optimise the TEU capacity per load while reducing the number of trips required of each prime mover and reducing emissions by approximately 33 per cent per container.
“This achievement marks a substantial step forward in our mission to build a more sustainable and environmentally conscious operation,” ACFS said.
“This initiative highlights our commitment to continuous improvement, emission reduction, and innovation in container transport.”
Wayne Jenkins, ACFS Transport Manager, was instrumental in spearheading the B-triple approvals.
His leadership, according to ACFS, along with the support of Nicola Murray, Trade and Logistics Manager at Port of Brisbane, and Kate Breen, Landside Superintendent at DP World, have played a pivotal role in making this expansion a reality.
“Their collaborative efforts have been essential in moving this project forward,” said ACFS.
“This milestone is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our incredible team. Together, we are shaping the future of logistics and setting new standards for the industry.”
